ASK OUR VET NUTRITIONIST

Considering feeding Root & Tail but not sure how to transition, or which diet is right for you? We're here to help.

WHO IS A VETERINARY NUTRITIONIST?

A Vet Nutritionist is licensed to consult on pet nutrition and is usually more equipped to help with nutrition than a regular vet.

OUR BOARD-CERTIFIED VET NUTRITIONIST

We're extremely proud to have on board Dr. Sarah Dodd, DVM, MSc, PhD, DECVCN. Dr. Dodd holds a PhD from University of Guelph and is one of only a dozen of board-certified vet nutritionists in Canada, a very small group that forms the backbone of expert nutritional support in the country.

Ask a Vet Nutritionist

  • Board-Certified Vet Nutritionists are the highest credential in Veterinary Nutrition.

These are Veterinary Nutritionists who have passed examination by a regulatory board, such as the American College of Veterinary Nutrition (ACVN) or the European College of Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition (ECVCN). These veterinarians have undergone extensive training and education in nutrition after graduating from their veterinary program.

Contrary to an animal or pet or canine nutritionist (which is not regulated terms), a veterinary nutritionist is a licensed veterinarian who can legally practice veterinary medicine as well as formulate diets and make nutritional recommendations for healthy animasl and animals with health conditions.

    • My dog has a sensitive tummy and gets loose stool a lot. Which of your diet is suitable?
    • My dog is having allergy symptoms. How does your food help?
    • What's the best diet for my pet given their age/breed/health condition/challenges?
    • Can my puppy/large breed/active dog thrive on your plant-based diet?
