It all started in 2021 when I picked up Alina from Pacific Assistance Dogs to become her volunteer raiser. Alina was 6 months old, full of eagerness to learn, incredibly cuddly, but also started showing recurring signs of multiple allergies.
Having seen her potential as a working dog, it was bittersweet when she was released from training due to her health issues. I decided to adopt Alina, and ever since I have been on a journey to help her live her best possible life despite her health challenges.
Living with a dog with multiple allergies is a lifelong commitment, and having worked in the pet food industry, I wanted to give her the best nutrition possible. Disappointed with the ingredients and processing method of hypoallergenic kibbles in the market, I decided to make her fresh, functional plant-based diets. Working with Dr. Dodd has been life changing in crafting what works for Alina, and we hope Root & Tail recipes will help your sensitive dogs thrive, too.
