Yes! Free shipping is available to Toronto, all BC and Alberta residents for any boxes.

Due to the costs of shipping express a frozen products, we are happy to offer subscription shipping to the rest of Canada at a flat rate of $49 to cover some of our shipping cost of getting the products to you.

All our Sample Box has a flat rate $8.99 shipping cost outside of Vancouver and Toronto.

We are a small business and we cook food for your pups in small batch. Orders cut off is Friday 8pm for Tuesday shipments outside of Metro Vancouver area, and for local delivery on Thursday for Metro Vancouver. You can adjust your subscriptions anytime in the customer portal to ensure your pup does not run out of food.

All our food is packed and shipped in an insulated box, with insulation liner and ice packs to keep your food in frozen condition. Please take the food out of the box and place them in the freezer immediately. You can safely recycle the box and liner in the recycling bin. The ice packs can be drained in the sink and the package recycled at a recycling depo.

Since our food is frozen, we use express shipping and insulation packaging to ensure they stay fresh when it reaches you.

However, logistics mishaps and weather conditions happen that can cause delays. If your box does not arrive within 3 days from the time it's shipped out, or the box arrives no longer cold to the touch, please get in touch with us at info@rootandtailpet.ca and we will make it right.

Your card will be charged at the interval indicated in your subscription plan (every 2, 4 or 6 weeks). If you do not want to receive an upcoming order, please Pause or Cancel before this date to avoid getting charged.

We're currently only available online. If you would like to see Root & Tail in a physical store, ask your favourite retailer to stock us.

We hope that our delicious recipes will be to your dog's taste, but of course, like humans, every dog is different with different palate. If your pup is a picky eater and might not like new foods, you can order a Sample Box with a bag of each recipe to try us out.

Due to the nature of the product being frozen, we are unable to accept returns. We also do not offer refund once the product has arrived at your home safely. Under extenuating circumstances, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your requests.
